Shanghai is China’s largest city as well as an important industrial and commercial center. Its port is linked to a network of waterways that stretch deep into China. For centuries these waterways were the main means of transport along which commerce reached the coast and vice versa. Shanghai has also been designated by China’s central government as the country’s financial capital, and it is home to the Shanghai Diamond Exchange, Shanghai Gold Exchange, Shanghai Silver Exchange and other state-level facilities.

Brink’s commenced service in Shanghai from 1997 although a Shanghai representative office was only officially registered in 2002. We are based at the Shanghai Diamond Exchange for convenient service to our diamond customers. We provide premium and secure service for most of the D&J traders in Shanghai. In addition, Brink’s also provides for commodity shipments such as banknotes, credit cards, holograms and precious metals. Brink’s is the exclusive forwarder for platinum shipments for the Shanghai Gold Exchange, and we are also providing vault service for storage of silver and other precious metals. Since 2003, we have additionally shipped a large quantity of silver overseas by ocean going vessels.
